After a win over San Diego Sunday night, the Bonnies quickly turn around and play Florida Atlantic for the Boca Beach Classic Hall of Fame Bracket championship Monday evening on FAU's home court.

The Bonnies head to the Sunshine State for the Boca Beach Classic. The inaugural event, hosted through the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, got underway this week with games at campus sites, now continues at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Eight teams will compete in two four-team brackets – St. Bonaventure is in the Hall of Fame Bracket along with host FAU, Illinois-Chicago and San Diego. The Naismith Bracket includes Mercer, Holy Cross, Hofstra and Canisius.
The Bonnies defeated San Diego in the opening round of the Hall of Fame Bracket games. With the win, the Bonnies advance to play host FAU the Hall of Fame Championship Game. Host FAU held on for a thrilling 71-70 victory over UIC on a foul shot in the final second of the contest. In the Naismith Bracket, Mercer defeated Canisius in the opening round and Hofstra took down Holy Cross to advance to the title game of that bracket.
The Boca Beach Classic will be the second special event the Bonnies take part in this season hosted by the Basketball Hall of Fame. St. Bonaventure defeated Rutgers on Nov. 16 in Toronto as part of the James Naismith Classic.
St. Bonaventure sophomore Osun Osunniyi earned a spot on this week's A-10 Honor Roll after back-to-back double-doubles in two wins last week. For the week he averaged 15 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks.
