Complete 2018-19 St. Bonaventure Schedule

Seven nationally televised games highlight St. Bonaventure's 2018-19 Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball schedule, which the conference announced Wednesday.

As the A-10 previously announced, the 18-game schedule pits St. Bonaventure against Davidson, Duquesne, Fordham, George Mason, and Saint Joseph's twice, with single games against Dayton, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Richmond, Saint Louis and VCU. Wednesday's announcement was the official dates and locations for all 18 games.

Seven of those games will be televised by either ESPN2 (1), NBC Sports Network (3) or CBS Sports Network (3) with four more on Stadium TV.

Five of the Bonnies' eight A-10 games at the Reilly Center will fall on weekends, highlighted by an ESPN2 Atlantic 10 Friday Night Showcase contest Feb. 1 against Davidson. It will be the second year in a row St. Bonaventure has hosted a Friday game on ESPN2.

St. Bonaventure's A-10 schedule opens on Sunday, Jan. 6, when coach Mark Schmidt's team travels to George Mason for the first of their two meetings with the Patriots. The game from Eagle Bank Arena will air on NBCSN at 4 p.m.

The Bonnies then return home on Jan. 9 to host a Saint Joseph's club which will be among the preseason A-10 favorites. Then on Saturday, Jan. 12, the Bonnies will square off with Fordham at Rochester's Blue Cross Arena (see full release on this game on GoBonnies.com).

St. Bonaventure next faces a challenging stretch of three road games out of the next four, starting Jan. 16 at Rhode Island. A home game with Dayton on Saturday, Jan. 19 will air on NBCSN, with road games at UMass (Jan. 23) and Richmond (Jan. 26) rounding out the Bonnies' January schedule.

After a bye on Jan. 30, the Bonnies open February with the Davidson home game. The Bonnies will make the relatively short trip to Pittsburgh on Feb. 6 for the first of two meetings with Duquesne. Three out of the next four games will be at the Reilly Center starting with a marquee matchup against VCU on Saturday, Feb. 9 on CBSSN. The Bonnies visit Saint Joseph's Feb. 12, then return home to host George Mason on Feb. 17 and La Salle on Feb. 20.

The Bonnies will play at Fordham on Saturday, Feb. 23, in their first trip to the Bronx since 2016. Duquesne visits the Reilly Center on Feb. 27 to close out the month. The Bonnies play George Washington in our nation's capital on Saturday, March 2, then travel to Davidson on March 6.

The regular season closes on March 9 with Saint Louis at home – the final home game for St. Bonaventure seniors LaDarien Griffin, Nelson Kaputo and Courtney Stockard.

The A-10 Championship will be played March 13-17 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Including the two other A-10 schools that reached the NCAA Tournament last season -- Rhode Island and Davidson -- the Bonnies will face a total of five teams that earned NCAA Tournament bids last year. The non-conference slate includes 2018 NCAA Tournament participants Bucknell, Buffalo and Syracuse. The Bonnies return two starters – Stockard and Griffin – from last season's 26-8 club that defeated UCLA in the NCAA Tournament First Four. The 26 wins set a school record.
