NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - St. Bonaventure senior guard Matt Mobley has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball Co-Player of the Week for the week that ended Feb. 18. It is his second A-10 Player of the Week award of the season.
Over two wins last week, the Worcester, Mass., native averaged 28.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. He made 19 of 37 shots (51 percent) from the field including 9-for-20 (45 percent) from three-point range. Mobley was also 9-for-11 at the free throw line.
Mobley began the week with 30 points and nine rebounds in a 79-68 win at La Salle, his second game of 30 points or more this year. He followed that with a game-high 26 points and nine rebounds in St. Bonaventure's 77-74 win over No. 14/16 Rhode Island on Feb. 16 at the Reilly Center. The win was not only the Bonnies' eighth in a row, it also snapped the nation's longest winning streak at 16. The Rams were ranked 14th in the USA Today Coaches poll and 16th in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

For the season, Mobley is averaging 18.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Mobley is the sixth-leading scorer in the Atlantic 10. He has made 78 three-pointers while shooting 38 percent from beyond the arc.
Mobley and the Bonnies will host Duquesne on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m.
