Started 39 games and appeared in a total of 44 games…batted .214 with a .311 OBP…scored 14 runs and drove in nine more…recorded his first career home run on April 23 at Duquesne…reliable backstop with a .976 fielding percentage in 251 chances…threw out 19 runners attempting to steal.
As A Freshman (2009)
Became the team’s full-time starter behind the plate just 10 games into the season after a season-ending injury to B.J. Salerno … became a reliable threat at the plate, batting .250 and ranking fifth on the team with a .396 on-base percentage … made 27 starts at catcher and had 21 hits … also had four doubles and a triple to go along with 11 RBI … threw out 18 base-runners and had a solid .974 fielding percentage … had four multi-hit games … made first career start in opener at Xavier (Apr. 9), going 2-for-4 with an RBI double … had three hits over a doubleheader at Bucknell (Apr. 22) and over a three-game series against Richmond (Apr. 24-26) … went 2-for-2 with a triple and two walks in the final game against the Spiders … reached base in three of four plate appearances in the opener against Duquesne (May 8) … finished with five RBI over three games against Charlotte (May 14-16), including a season-high three in the final game of the season.
