TUCSON, Ariz. – St. Bonaventure redshirt junior outfielder Brendyn Stillman has been named a preseason All-American pick by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
Stillman earned a Second Team nod and is one of 12 outfielders nationally to be selected to one of the organization's three teams of preseason All-Americans.
The only Atlantic 10 player to receive a preseason All-American honor, Stillman recorded an amazing, albeit short, 2020 season.
In his first year with the Bonnies, he led the nation in batting average by hitting .519 and was one of only two players to hit over .500 in the pandemic-shortened spring. Stillman also led the country in slugging (1.259) after smacking six home runs and two doubles in seven games. His on-base percentage of .594 also ranked fifth in the nation and he was second in home runs per game. In 27 at-bats, he compiled 14 hits, walked five times and struck out in just four plate appearances. He also earned post-season All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper following the season.
Stillman is part of a veteran Bonnies roster that will return to the field in 2021, including all but two starters around the diamond as well as 17 letterwinners.
