ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Head coach Larry Sudbrook has announced that Eric Willis and T.J. Baker have signed to join the St. Bonaventure baseball program this coming fall.
Baker, a 6'7" right-handed side-arm pitcher from Acton, Ontario attended Salt Lake Community College in Salt Lake, Nevada. T.J. was 1-0 coming out of the bullpen sporting a 1.08 ERA. He gave up 18 hits, allowing only 2 earned runs, while striking out 14 in 16.2 innings of action. Coach Sudbrook is looking for Baker to contribute working primarily out of the bullpen for the Bonnies.
Willis, a right handed hitting middle infielder from Waverly, Iowa attended Kirkwood Community College in Iowa. As a freshman he batted .300 with five doubles, two triples and three home runs. Eric will have three years of eligibility with the Bonnies and is expected to compete for the second base position this fall.
St. Bonaventure finished the 2014-15 season with an overall record of 16-29-2. The Bonnies will begin preparation for the 2015-16 campaign in just a few weeks when fall practice begins.
