Joshua Wall currently serves as the Interim Director of Sports Medicine for St. Bonaventure Athletics. He began his tenure at St. Bonaventure University in September 2018 and started his new role in 2019.
Before joining the St. Bonaventure sports medicine staff, Wall served as an assistant athletic trainer for the University of Pittsburgh from 2016 to 2018. There, he was responsible for the sports medicine needs of the Cross Country and Track and Field programs, in addition to assisting with the men’s and women’s basketball programs. Prior to his time in Pittsburgh, Josh served as an Intern Athletic Trainer for Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) from 2015 to 2016. During his time in Virginia, he was responsible for the sports medicine needs of the Cross Country and Track & Field programs.
Josh has earned his Master of Science Degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida while completing his graduate assistantship. Through this position, Wall served as the head athletic trainer at Trenton High School and Gainesville High School. Joshua has also served as a preceptor for the undergraduate students enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh and University of Florida Athletic Training Education Programs. He completed his graduate work in May of 2015.
Josh, originally from Mayodan, NC, earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training from High Point University in May of 2013. He became a Certified Athletic Trainer upon graduating from High Point. Josh is currently licensed in the State of New York and Pennsylvania and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). He is a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist, certified in Functional Moment Screen (FMS), certified professional rescuer (CPR/AED) for health care providers, and is trained in Blood Flow Restriction Rehabilitation and Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization.
