Emily Hynes currently serves as the Intern Athletic Trainer for the St. Bonaventure Softball and Swim and Dive Programs. She began her internship at St. Bonaventure University in August of 2020.
Before joining the St. Bonaventure sports medicine staff, Emily earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Exercise Science from the State University of New York College at Cortland in December of 2019. She became a Certified Athletic Trainer upon graduating from SUNY Cortland and has been a member of the National Athetic Trainers’ Association since her acceptance to the Athletic Training Education Program. During her time at Cortland she served as a lab assistant for Recognition and Evaluation of Injury as well as Athletic Training Theory and Methods for the ATEP.
Emily, originally from Addison, NY, earned her Associate in Science Degree in Health and Physical Education Studies from Corning Community College in May of 2017. Prior to becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer she served as an intern athletic training student for the Elmira Pioneers Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League in the summers of 2017 and 2018. Emily is a RockTape FMT certified provider and basic life support provider (CPR/AED).
