ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure University Athletics and Olean General Hospital have partnered to raise funds and awareness for the support of those undergoing cancer treatment in Cattaraugus County.
SBU and OGH have been long-time partners in the fight against cancer through events such as the annual women's basketball Pink Game, but that partnership now extends all season long. This year, merchandise with the Bonnies "Pink Ribbon" logo will be available throughout the basketball season and a portion of all royalties will go directly to Olean General Hospital and their local cancer care. Shirts and mugs adorned with the pink ribbon logo are available at BonniesGear.com now and additional items will be available at the SBU Bookstore and at The Sports Locker in Olean later this month.
"Olean General Hospital's partnership with St. Bonaventure University has meant so much in terms of our hospital's ability to continue to provide state-of-the-art cancer care right here in the Olean community," said Timothy J. Finan, President and CEO of Olean General Hospital Upper Allegheny Health System. "On behalf of everyone at Olean General, thank you St. Bonaventure and Go Bonnies!"
While the Bonnies "Pink Ribbon" merchandise will be available all season long, the annual women's basketball Pink Game presented by Paul Brown Motors will again spotlight those battling cancer in the local community. Those fighting as well as survivors of the disease and their loved ones are welcomed to the Reilly Center for this year's Pink Game when the Bonnies take on Davidson Feb. 9.
