Marcus Posley, Men's Basketball

The Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 6, 2016 is men’s basketball senior Marcus Posley.

Over two Bonnies wins last week, Posley averaged 32.6 points per game. March 2 in Rochester, N.Y., he had the top scoring game in Division I this year, pouring in 47 points in a win over Saint Joseph's. The Rockford, Ill., native was 15-of-19 (.780) from the field against the Hawks, including an incredible 6-for-7 from three-point range. He was also 11-of-12 at the free throw line. The 47 points tied the fourth most in a single game in A-10 history. Posley then scored 18 points at Saint Louis on 5-for-10 (.500) from the field and 6-of-7 (.850) at the line. He also had four assists and two steals on the regular season finale.

Posley's efforts helped lead the Bonnies (22-7) to their first-ever A-10 regular season title, which is shared with Dayton and VCU. St. Bonaventure went 14-4 in conference games, a program record for A-10 wins.

Posley was named the Atlantic 10 and CBS Sports National Player of the Week for his efforts.
