The Time Warner Cable Sports Channel GoBonnies.com Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 24 is graduate student golfer Darren Simons.

Simons shot a season-best by carding a 69 in the final round of the ‘Til Duty is Done Intercollegiate Invitational on Sunday to finish a strong tournament. He sank seven birdies on the day, tying for the most in the tournament field of nearly 80 players, and finished in a tie for 10th on the individual leaderboard. He finished with a one-over 217 for the 36-hole tournament (76-72-69) to record the lowest score of any Bonnies player in the field.

The Bonnies shot a team score of 291 on Sunday to finish sixth in the field of 13 teams.
