The St. Bonaventure basketball program has a proud history – one that has united the community and the University for generations. As another new season approaches, it brings with it a special milestone – 100 seasons of intercollegiate basketball. The Bonnies will celebrate their centennial season in 2019-20, honoring the tradition of Bonaventure Basketball. Throughout the year, special celebrations are planned to honor past players and coaches as well as events that will spotlight the achievements of the individuals and teams who have worn the Brown and White throughout the decades.

The 1919-20 St. Bonaventure College basketball team started a legacy that has carried through generations of Bona fans over the years.
As part of the St. Bonaventure Basketball 100th Anniversary celebration, we honor some of the greatest players in our history. A panel including former beat writers Chuck Pollock and Mike Vaccaro '89 along with longtime voice of the Bonnies Gary Nease selected 60 players for the St. Bonaventure All-Time Team ballot. Later this year, we'll narrow this list to 20 players who will be named to the All-Time Team through voting from our panel as well as from you, our fans who will account for one vote toward the final selection. Click the link to read about our top players and vote for your top 20 - there is a biography on each player's accomplishments and at the bottom of the page is a ballot for fans to cast their votes.
July 28 marked 100 days until the tip off of the 100th season of St. Bonaventure basketball. Each day leading up to the first game of the season, St. Bonaventure Athletics will treat fans to unique and interesting history of Bonnies Basketball, from rarely seen photos to game tickets and programs and everything in between, all leading up to a November 5 opening tip.
Not only is the 2019-20 campaign the Centennial Season of Bonnies Basketball, but it also marks the Golden Anniversary year for perhaps the program's most famous team - the 1969-70 Final Four squad. We will pay homage to the Final Four team in a special celebration during a home game at the Reilly Center when the entire team comes back home on December 7. The Dec. 7 game will be an extra special day as it also marks the 100th anniversary of Bona's first game which took place Dec. 11, 1919 in Butler Gym.
As with any team that has a long history, the Bonnies have had a number of different looks - and logos - throughout the years. Click the link to check out some of the most memorable and unique styles that St. Bonaventure and its basketball program have used during the past 100 seasons.
