1.) What is your class year and major?
I'm a freshman, biology major.
2.) What is your favorite part about running cross country?
My favorite part about running is that it forces you to push yourself. It makes you stronger mentally.
3.) If you could do anything after college, what kind of job would you like to have?
I think it would be awesome to work at an aquarium or SeaWorld to study and swim with dolphins – my favorite animal.
4.) What is your favorite food?
I love all food. I'm definitely not a picky eater, but my favorite food is peach cobbler.
5.) What is the best memory you have of running cross country?
Qualifying for the PIAA State Championships as a team my senior year. We played so many pranks on our coaches and simply had an amazing and unforgettable time.
6.) Who would you say has been the most influential person in your sports career?
Beth Walker, one of my high school teammates who now runs for LaSalle, was a huge inspiration for me. She was the first female to qualify for state competition from my school. Watching her qualify for state's (she's two years older than me) showed me that people from my small school really could accomplish big feats.
7.) Besides running cross country, what are some of your other hobbies?
I love to play piano. I've played since I was three years old, and it's been a huge part of my life ever since. I also like to read. When I'm with my friends, we like to play pick-up sports games like tag football.
8.) What is one fun fact someone wouldn't know about you?
I may be extremely white, but I'm 25% Puerto Rican. My grandma was born and raised in Puerto Rico and then immigrated to the U.S. when she was 20.
9.) If you had to describe yourself in just a few words, how would you describe yourself?
Determined, hard working and goofy.
10.) What is your favorite part about being a Bonnie?
As an athlete, my favorite part is creating a better reputation for cross country at St. Bonaventure. As a student, my favorite part is the small school atmosphere. I come from a small town, so it's nice to come to a school that isn't drastically different from what I'm used to.
