WEST POINT, N.Y.
– The women's tennis team will compete in its second
tournament of the year this weekend when it heads across the state
to participate in the Army Invitational.
The Bonnies come off last weekend's Cornell Invite, where senior Maria
Barousse and sophomore Kathryn
Kvas teamed up, and after losing their first doubles match,
went on to win the losers' doubles bracket. In another doubles
bracket, junior Manuela
Marin-Salcedo and sophomore Amanda
Pallikunnel advanced to the finals of the losers' bracket
before bowing out. Playing singles, Marin-Salcedo and sophomore Riley
Archer also picked up wins.
The Army Invite will feature main and consolation brackets, and in
the video at the right head coach Mike Bates explains in more
detail the invite's breakdown, which players he is bringing this
weekend and his own preview of the three-day invite. Play is set to
begin Friday morning and run all the way through Sunday.
