Bonnies Return to the Pool Against Friday Against Canisius
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y.- After a week off, the St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team return home to the Reilly Center Pool to take on Canisius Friday, at 5:00 p.m.
The Diving portion of this meet took place on Saturday, Dec 10.
The Bonnies hope for a repeat of last season's 163-77 victory over the Golden Griffins.
In that meet, Jeanette Dietrich finished in first-place in the 50-yard freestyle (24.94) and in the 100-yard butterfly, Lanae Petty earned first-place with a time of 59.87.
In diving, Alycia Gossett and Chrysta Currier finished in first-place and second-place, respectively in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
The Brown and White are coming off a 12th-place finish at the University of Akron Invitational two weeks ago.
During the weekend-long event, McKenzie Courtney had a 6th place finish for the Brown and White in the 100-yard breaststroke, with a time of 1:06.23, and she finished 8th in the 200-yard breaststroke, touching in with a time of 2:24.16.
Meaghan McCann clinched a 10th place finish in the 100-yard backstroke and a time of 57.82.
The Bonnies will then take a break from the pool for the holiday season. They dive back in at Binghamton on January 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
