Women’s Swimming & Diving Ranks Among Nation’s Most Improved
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Following an Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championship meet in which it surpassed preseason expectations, the women's swimming and diving team had its improvement verified yet again in the most recent CollegeSwimming.com polls, in which the Bonnies rank No. 9 in the nation in Improvement Ranking.
CollegeSwimming.com uses a program called Avidasports Performance Ranking to statistically establish which teams in the country increased their performance the most in the last week, in comparison with the entire year. St. Bonaventure had an improvement of 103.5 percent, ranking as the lone Atlantic 10 team in the top 10, and just 0.7 percent shy of being the nation's most improved team during the last week of A-10s.
The team finished the A-10 championships tied for 4th with La Salle after last year's 6th-place showing, and after being predicted to finish this season tied for 5th, based on preseason voting.
