Bonnies Fall to Cleveland State
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team fell to Cleveland State University, 144-94, at the Reilly Center Pool Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Paige Gutowski came in first place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:23.29. She also finished in second place in the 200-yard IM, touching in at 2:10.95.
Freshman Jeannette Dietrich picked up a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:59.09. She also touched in with a time of 54.48 in the 100-yard freestyle, good for third place.
Senior Natalya Ghostlaw had a big day for the Bonnies. She finished in second place in both the 1000-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle with times of 10:46.09 and 5:14.54, respectively.
Senior Kathryne Valentine picked up a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:09.51.
In the 200-yard butterfly, freshman Katie Parker finished in second place with a time of 2:12.07, and classmate Whitney Dougherty touched the wall at 2:19.03 for third place.
In relay action, the Brown and White came in second place in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:01.15. The women's 400 free relay captured first.
In diving action, Chrysta Currier posted the Bonnies highest score in the 1-meter dive with a 194.37. In the 3-meter dive, Alycia Gossett got the Bonnies highest score with a 177.0.
The Bonnies return to the pool Dec. 3-5 for the Akron Invitational in Akron, Ohio.
