Women's Swimming Set To Face Off Against Duquesne And La Salle
BUFFALO, N.Y. – After a two-week hiatus, the women's swimming and diving team returns to the pool for a tri-meet against Atlantic 10 rivals Duquesne and La Salle on Saturday.
The Bonnies hope to rebound from last year's tri-meet loss where they fell to Duquesne, 214-108, and La Salle, 197-132.
In that meet, senior Kathryne Valentine placed first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:08.84. Junior Alycia Gossett placed third in the 1-meter dive and second in the 3-meter dive.
The Brown and White are coming off a loss to Pittsburgh where sophomore Paige Gutowski picked up two first-place finishes. She touched the wall in the 200-yard breastroke with a time of 2:23.10 and in the 200-yard IM she notched a time of 2:12.81.
Freshmen Katie Parker also placed first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.94.
The meet will take place at the Flickinger Aquatic Center in Buffalo, NY. The diving portion of the meet beings at 10:00 a.m. and the swimming part starts at 3:30 p.m.
