Dave Matz returns for his ninth season on the Bonnies bench. However, Matz is no stranger to the program as he was the school's first softball head coach from 1982-85. During his tenure as the skipper, he guided the Brown and White to a 26-37 record. Matz has been a professor at St. Bonaventure for 25 years and currently teaches in the Classical Languages department. He received his undergraduate degree from Lawrence University in 1969 as well as a Masters and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Matz resides in Olean with his wife, Lauren.
