ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- The Fordham Rams came away with a pair of six-inning wins over the St. Bonaventure University softball team Wednesday afternoon at a rainy Joyce Field.

The Rams jumped out to an early 4-0 lead with two runs in each of the first two innings.
But the Bonnies responded with six runs in the bottom of the second as they rallied with two outs, taking a 6-4 lead.
With the bases loaded, Elizabeth Enovitch smacked a single up the middle that scored Kelly Farrell and Kiera Lorenzo. Alexandra Piergustavo later worked a bases-loaded walk, followed by the big hit from Alissa Karjel. The sophomore lofted one down the line in right field, and the Fordham defender was unable to make the catch on a dive, allowing Enovitch, Hailey Blencowe and Piergustavo to score, and Karjel to slide in safely at third.
The Rams regained the lead with four runs in the third and five more in the fourth to stretch their lead to 13-6.
St. Bonaventure plated two more runs in the bottom of the fourth as Desiree Gonzalez scored while Blencowe reached on an error, and Piergustavo sent home Enovitch on a groundout.
After a clean fifth inning for both teams, Fordham opened up its lead in the top of the sixth with 10 runs.
Of the seven Bona hits, Enovitch earned two while Gonzalez, Blencowe, Karjel, Lorenzo and Farrell had one apiece.
For the Rams, Sydney Canessa put together a remarkable performance with a 6-for-6 game, including eight RBIs and four runs scored.
Game two: Fordham 12, St. Bonaventure 2 (6 Innings) | Box Score (PDF)
The Bonnies got on the board first with a run in the opening inning. Gonzalez led off the inning with a single, and came all the way around to score as the Fordham catcher made a throwing error on a ball bunted by Enovitch the following at-bat.
The Rams then tied it up with an RBI single in the bottom of the second, and opened up a 7-1 lead with six more runs in the top of the third.
A Fordham home run in the fourth and four more runs in sixth put the Rams up, 12-1.
The Bonnies scored their final run of the game as Kelly Farrell worked a bases-loaded walk that brought home Karjel.
Today's game wrapped up a seven-game homestand at Joyce Field for the Brown and White. Up next, the Bonnies will travel to George Mason for a three-game set, starting with a doubleheader Saturday starting at 12:00 p.m.
