DAYTON, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University women's soccer team created some chances, including four shots on goal, but could not break through Thursday night in a 3-0 setback at Wright State.
Wright State (3-2) got on the board with the first goal at the 11:23 mark when Sarah Colvin took an assist from Aaliyah Patten for her second score of the season. The Raiders added another tally in the 39th minute off a header from Brittney Petrosky for a 2-0 lead at intermission. The hosts added an insurance goal in the 82nd minute from Jordyne Helinski.
St. Bonaventure totaled nine shots on the night, making Wright State keeper Maddie Jewell come through with four saves.
Lauren Malcolm finished with seven saves in net for the Bonnies.
The Bonnies next return home to take on UMass-Lowell on Thursday, Sept. 7 at the Marra Athletics Complex. Start time is set for 4 p.m.
