ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – After a scoreless 90 minutes, Saint Louis broke through in overtime to come away with a 1-0 win over the St. Bonaventure women's soccer team in Atlantic 10 play Sunday afternoon at the Marra Athletics Complex.

Kirsten Clemens came through the box on a contested ball in the 94th minute, blasting a shot inside the post for the game-winner and sent the Billikens home with the win.

Bona held its own against Saint Louis (12-2-1, 5-0-1 A-10) as both teams had strong opportunities early.

In the first minute, SLU's Maddie Pokorny placed a shot right on net that Lauren Malcolm turned away. Then, in the fifth minute, both Sydney Cerza and Mirae Whitaker had great chances for the Bonnies – Cerza blasted an effort that ricocheted off the Billikens keeper, allowing Whitaker to scoop up a rebound. Her shot forced the keeper to make a diving stop to end the threat.

Sabrina Sousa-Sampson had a pair of chances during the second half to break through for the hosts. During the 62nd minute, a right-footed shot 15 yards out rocketed over the net. Then, in the 83rd minute, a corner kick from Jennifer Morris in front went to Sousa-Sampson, but her header went just high.

A great ball into the box from Maddie Mason gave Danielle Vis an opportunity late as well, but resulted in another shot that went wide.

Malcolm finished with four saves for the Bonnies (3-11-1, 0-6)

St. Bonaventure returns to action Thursday evening against Davidson with action slated to start at the Marra Athletics Complex beginning at 7 p.m.
