KINGSTON, R.I. – A dominating second half led Rhode Island to a 4-0 victory over the St. Bonaventure women's soccer team on Thursday evening in Atlantic 10 competition.
Rhode Island (4-6-3, 1-3-1 Atlantic 10) scored first in the 38th minute when Donika Murray found the net unassisted following a play that begin with a Rams corner kick.
After the teams went to halftime with that 1-0 margin, Rhode Island tacked on scores in the 55th, 56th and 63rd minutes with a blitz that put the game away for the hosts.
Lauren Malcolm recorded a career-high 13 saves in net for the Bonnies (3-10-1, 0-5).
St. Bonaventure returns home this Sunday to begin a three-game home stand with Saint Louis visiting for a 12 p.m. scheduled kick off.
