Women's Soccer Opens A-10 Season at Duquesne

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - After finishing non-conference play 6-4, St. Bonaventure begins Atlantic 10 play this Saturday at Duquesne (3-5-1).

The Dukes have lost three straight games in overtime including a double-OT thriller at Niagara, while the Bonnies come in hot having won five of their last six decisions.

Anna Cunningham is leading the way offensively for the Bonnies with five goals and three assists, but so far the Bonnies' best weapon has been senior goalkeeper Nicole Markert.

Markert has been named A-10 Co-Player of the Week once already this season, and currently ranks in the top five for goals against and shutouts in the A-10.

The goalkeeping for Duquesne has been just as good as senior captain and reigning A-10 Player of the Week Gabby Morrin currently leads the A-10 in saves per game, and ranks third in school history with 19 wins.

Last year the Bonnies tied for third in the conference while Duquesne finished 11th.
