ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure Bonnies fell to the Saint Joseph's Hawks Wednesday afternoon by a score of 22-14.
The Bonnies would start fast in this one scoring the first goal of the game just over a minute into the contest. Scarlet Jaworski was awarded a free position shot and wouldn't waste it, as she found the back of the net to put the Brown and White up early.
It would be a back and forth game for the majority of the first half as the two teams found themselves tied on three different occasions.
The Hawks would hold a 10-7 advantage heading into the break.
The second half would start much like the first, with the Bonnies jumping on the board first. Fallon took a feed from Rylee Arnold and found the back of the net to pull St. Bonaventure within two goals at 10-8.
That would be as close as St. Bonaventure would get as the Hawks would score 12 second half goals to pull away for the 22-14 victory.
Fallon led the Bonnies offensively scoring six goals on the afternoon. Scarlet Jaworski chipped in with four goals.
Gabby Bradley continued to be a facilitator for the offense as she accumulated five assists to spark the St. Bonaventure offense.
Saint Joseph's was led by Julia Pash who netted six goals on the afternoon. Rabecca Lane added four goals and four assists and Mallory Grey added three goals to power the Hawks offense.
The Hawks controlled most of the game winning 28 draw controls as the Bonnies only won 9.
In net, Morgan Conroy was tested often, facing 44 shots and making 22 saves.
NEXT UP: The Bonnies will wrap up the 2017 season as they host La Salle Friday afternoon. The team will honor its seniors in a pre-game ceremony.
