ORLANDO, Fla. – St. Bonaventure's women's lacrosse team lost its second game of the season, an 8-7 decision to Rollins College on Wednesday night at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.
St. Bonaventure led 4-3 at halftime. After Rollins tied the game early in the second half, the Bonnies opened a 6-4 lead on back-to-back goals by Taylor Fallon and Madison Appel, the latter coming with 23:09 remaining in the game.
Rollins, however, answered with four straight goals, two by Tyler Thomas, to take an 8-6 lead. Allie Bohan scored on a free position shot with 7:31 left for the eventual game-winner.
Appel scored her second goal of the night with 4:26 left to pull the Bonnies within one but St. Bonaventure could not score after that. There were seven yellow cards issued in the game, with five called on the Bonnies.
The Bonnies drop to 0-2 while Rollins is now 2-1.
Caroline Lamire and Thomas each scored twice for Rollins.
