Bonnies to Face Colgate in Season's Final Non-conference Game
The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team (3-7, 0-5 Atlantic 10) travels to Hamilton, N.Y. to face the Colgate University Raiders (4-10, 3-2 Patriot L eague) at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Tyler's Field in the season's last non-conference game.
The Bonnies enter the contest on a two-game losing streak, falling on the road to A-10 rivals St. Joseph's 17-11 on Friday and 21-7 at Massachusetts on Sunday.
The nationally-ranked Minutewomen built a 12-3 halftime lead. The Brown and White chipped away at the deficit and trailed 15-7 with 19:07 remaining in the second half. Massachusetts scored the game's final six goals to pull away. Freshman midfielder MacKenzie Jordan scored a career-high three goals in the loss.
Through 10 games, senior attacker Danielle Drabin leads the team with seven assists, 21 goals and 28 total points.
The Raiders defeated Lafayette 13-11 on Saturday, ending a two-game losing streak. Through 24 games, senior midfielder Courtney Miller's 46 goals and 59 points are a team best. She and senior attacker Katie Sullivan share the team lead in assists with 13 each. Wednesday's game will be the Raiders' Senior Day.
Following Wednesday's game, St. Bonaventure will close out the regular season with two home A-10 contests against Richmond at 4 p.m. on Friday and George Washington at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
