Bonnies Wrap Up Lax Season at Canisius

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Bonnies conclude the 2011 women's lacrosse season on Monday, as St. Bonaventure (6-8) visits Canisius (11-5) for a noon draw at the Demske Sports Complex.

The Bonnies picked up a 21-7 victory over Detroit on Friday. Six players recorded at least three points, led by three goals and three assists from Emily Kane, as the Bonnies went on a 9-0 scoring run over an 11-minute span in the first half to break an early tie and take a commanding lead that the Titans could not overcome.

A 6-0 run to end the first half proved to be the difference as ninth-ranked Albany defeated the Canisius College women's lacrosse team on Thursday afternoon at the Demske Sports Complex, 14-8. The nationally-ranked Great Danes remain unbeaten on the season at 13-0, while the Griffs drop just their second game in the last 12 and fall to 11-5 on the season.
