Lacrosse drops season opener at Oregon, 22-8

EUGENE, Ore. – The St. Bonaventure women’s lacrosse team dropped its season opener against Oregon, 22-8 on Sunday morning at Pape’ Field.

The Ducks’ Alex Breiner led all scorers with four goals and a pair of assists as the Ducks matched their program record for goals in a single game.

Oregon led 10-3 by halftime, but St. Bonaventure cut the lead Ducks’ lead 11-7 early in the second half. Oregon rallied back scoring 11 more goals to the Bonnies’ one.

The Bonnies continue the 2010 traveling to Big 4 rival Niagara on Saturday. Game time is set for noon.
