Andrea Mulcahy, formerly Andrea Doneth, a 2010 St. Bonaventure graduate, is entering her seventh season on St. Bonaventure's staff.
Mulcahy has been a key to the Bonnies' rise to the top of the Atlantic 10, helping the team to the NCAA Tournament Second Round in 2015-16 and in 2013-14, she helped lead the team to a 24-11 record and a WNIT post-season berth.
During the 2011-12 year, Mulcahy served as the director of basketball operations at Stony Brook University. In that role she oversaw the day-to-day activities surrounding the women's basketball program.
Before becoming a coach, she was a successful player with the Bonnies.
In her junior season at Bonaventure, Mulcahy helped lead the Bonnies to a then-program record 23 wins and the program’s first appearance in the WNIT. She would captain the Bonnies the following year to a second consecutive 23-win season as well as a second WNIT appearance. In that season, Mulcahy led the team in assists for the second time in her career (2.7 apg). She would hand out 307 assists in her career, ranking her 8th all-time in the program record book.
The East Lansing, Mich. native re-joined the staff in 2012 in the wake of the Brown and White's historic season. The Bonnies posted 31 victories, went undefeated in Atlantic 10 play and participated in their first NCAA Tournament where they advanced to the Sweet 16.
Mulcahy received the Woman of Promise Award while at Bonaventure, which is presented to the top graduating female journalism student. She was also female recipient the Ideal Bonaventure Student award at commencement.
Mulcahy lives in Olean with her husband, Tristan, their daughter, Harper and son, Declan.
