ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Claudia Del Moral, a 5-foot-6 guard from Barcelona, Spain, has accepted an athletics grant-in-aid to join the St. Bonaventure women's basketball team, head coach Jesse Fleming announced.

Moral spent last season at Jacksonville (Texas) Junior College where she played in 25 games, averaging 4.6 points, 3.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds. There, she ran the point guard position for a squad that ranked in the NJCAA national Top 25 during the 2017-18 campaign.

"Claudia is a true point guard who does a great job running the team. She is a great open court player and has a great feel for the game," Fleming assessed. "She can make the open shot and has the quickness to get in the lane. She is an absolute competitor and that's the type of player we are looking to bring into the program."

She played at Lamar (Co.) Community College as a freshman, averaging 10.2 points, 4.1 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 25 games. At Lamar, she totaled 14 games with double-figure scoring and was selected to the Region IX South All-Region Team.

Moral will be eligible immediately and have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

The newest member of the Bonnies joins a crop of what will be five newcomers on this year's roster. The Bonnies previously signed freshman guards Deja Francis and Asianae Johnson along with freshman forward Carrie Jornlin and junior transfer forward Amanda Oliver.

"We're really happy with the class we are bringing in as a whole," Fleming said. "We have brought in some experience and some tough players. We feel Claudia fits into that."
