Jenkins Leads Keflavik To League Title, Named Finals MVP

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Jessica Jenkins scored 22 points last night to help guide her professional team, Keflavik of the Icelandic Basketball League to a Dominos League title, defeating KR in four games.

Keflavik was trying to win the series on the road in game four and actually trailed, 38-34, at halftime. Jenkins' crew however came out of the break on a 22-15 run to pull ahead and ultimately score a convincing 82-70 victory.

Jenkins averaged 20.3 points per game for the series and would be honored with the title of Finals MVP. She was named League Guard of the Year and selected to the 2013 All-Icelandic League First Team as well as to the All-Imports Team alongside former Charlotte foe Shannon McCallum. In her debut season, the Marion, Ohio native averaged 17.8 points, which was good for eighth in the league.  

The 2012 St. Bonaventure grad was a member of the winningest class in program history (98 wins). She scored 1,441 points in her career which ranks seventh in the program record books. Her 338 three-pointers are tops in program and Atlantic 10 history. She was named to the A-10 First Team and All-Academic team as a senior.
