No. 22/25 St. Bonaventure – nationally ranked in both polls for the first time in program history – hosts its first home game as a ranked team against perennial A-10 power Xavier on national TV Saturday in front of a Homecoming Weekend crowd.

The Bonnies, 9-0 on Saturday this year, will honor their four seniors – Jessica Jenkins, Megan Van Tatenhove, Armelia Horton and Jennie Ashton – prior to the game. The quartet is the winningest class in program history, currently owning 92 victories, while redshirt Horton has the most wins in school history – men's or women's – with 109.
Bonaventure has already set program records this season for wins (24 – tied for the second most in the nation), road victories (12 – most in the country) and Atlantic 10 triumphs (11 – best in the league), and is currently riding a program-best 13-game winning streak. Dating back to last year, Bona has won 15 straight regular-season conference games.

The Brown and White, which had a bye on Wednesday, erased a 15-point deficit at Dayton last Saturday to pull out a 56-55 win. Van Tatenhove hit the contested game-winning shot with 23 seconds remaining as Bonaventure clinched a first-round bye (top-four teams) at the A-10 Championship. With the win, the Bonnies – picked sixth in the preseason A-10 poll – have defeated every team picked to finish ahead of them (@ Temple – T-1st; @ Dayton – T-1st; vs. Duquesne/@ Duquesne – 3rd; @ Charlotte – 4th; vs. Saint Joseph's – 5th).

SBU leads the A-10 in scoring margin at +10.6 despite ranking just sixth in the league in scoring offense. The Bonnies average 64.9 points per game, but rank second in the conference in scoring defense at 54.3 per outing. Only two schools in the nation – LSU and South Carolina – average fewer points per game which have a greater scoring margin than St. Bonaventure.

With its ranking in the Associated Press Poll, the Bonnies are just the fourth Division I women's basketball team in history from New York State to appear in the rankings, joining Syracuse, St. John's and Marist. Bonaventure is the 150th school to be ranked in the AP Poll, and head coach Jim Crowley is the 246th coach with a ranked team.
