Cross Country returns to National Catholic Championships

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The St. Bonaventure men's cross country team crossed the line in 27th place, while the women's side posted a 32nd place result at the 29th annual National Catholic Championships on Friday afternoon at the school's nine-hole golf course.
Senior Justin Isaman led the Brown and White for the third straight race, pacing the club with a time of 28:11 for 118th place. St. Bonaventure also received solid results from sophomore Jimmy Burton (28:54/160th) and junior Michael Grosso (29:15/172nd) in the five-mile race.
Sophomore Caitlin Palmer was the first Bona woman to cross the line as the second-year runner registered a time of 21:11 in the 5K race. Fellow classmate Tiffany Barkley followed Palmer to the finish line in 21:49.
The Bonnies return to action on Friday, October 3 at the Lehigh Paul Short Run. Race time is slated for 11:00 a.m.
