| Years at St. Bonaventure: | Entering Third Season |
Assistant head cross country coach Bob Ring enters his third
year at St. Bonaventure under head coach Bob Macfarlane.
Ring lives in Olean with his wife, Zandy, and works as a civil
engineer with an AAS of mathematics from Jamestown Community
College. He attended Olean High School where he not only
volunteered as track and field and cross country coach for two
years, but also holds two school track and cross country records in
the 3200 meter and 4x800 meter relay.
Ring ran cross country for Alfred State College and was part of a
team that was National Junior College Athletic Association national
runner-up. He also ran cross country for Daemen College, where he
still holds the school record.
“I’m an avid runner and road racer, but I am most
passionate about coaching others and passing on the knowledge I
have gathered from years of competing,” said Ring.
