Posted eight singles victories and tied for second on the team with 15 doubles wins … combined with Javier Ortiz for a 10-6 doubles mark ... finished the season with seven doubles triumphs in nine chances while partnering with Ortiz ... won four straight doubles matches against Fordham (March 28), La Salle (March 29), Saint Joseph’s (March 30) and Niagara (April 7) ... also notched consecutive singles victories against La Salle and Saint Joseph’s ... captured three doubles wins in a row against IPFW (March 3), Youngstown State (March 8) and Siena (March 17) ... also picked up individual wins against Siena and St. Francis, Pa. (Jan. 27) ... tied for team-high honors with four singles victories during the fall season ... teamed with Celso de Vera Rehberger for three doubles triumphs and picked up another win while partnering with Gabriel Cardenas ... posted a 3-0 singles record and added two doubles wins with de Vera Rehberger during the SBU Fall Classic ... collected a singles victory during the Yale Tournament ... teamed with Cardenas for a doubles win in the season-opening Navy Invitational.

Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team
Tied for team-high honors with seven doubles victories … teamed with Javier Ortiz for a three-match winning streak at No. 2 doubles that included victories over RIT (Feb. 5), Duquesne (Feb. 11) and Fordham (Feb. 17) … produced consecutive victories at No. 4 singles against La Salle (April 5) and Saint Joseph’s (April 8) … registered singles and doubles victories in matches against Bucknell (Feb. 25), Army (March 24) and La Salle … also was part of a doubles win over Niagara (April 11) … went 3-3 in Atlantic 10 doubles matches while partnering with Ortiz … enjoyed a successful fall season, going 2-1 and winning the “Flight A” title in the SBU Fall Classic (Oct. 2) … also partnered with Luis Guevara for a 3-0 mark and “A Flight” doubles title in the event … picked up an “A Singles” win in the UB Invitational (Sept. 24)… combined with Guevara for victory at No. 1 doubles against Navy (Sept. 9) in the Navy Invite … completed the fall by competing in the ITA Men’s Northeast Regionals at Cornell University (Oct. 14-15) … Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team selection.
As a Freshman (2010-11)
Returns to the team second in singles victories with nine, and second in doubles victories with seven...Started a four-match singles victory streak with Cleveland State (Feb. 6) and ending with a loss to James Madison (Feb. 18)...Streak included victories over Cleveland State, Colgate, St. Francis, and Atlantic 10 rival Charlotte...Won first doubles match of the season against Colgate at No. 1 doubles with Chris Post...Had a two-match winning streak at singles starting with Bucknell (March. 6) at No. 4 singles, and then against Robert Wesleyan University (March 13) at No. 3 singles...Also posted two-match winning streak in doubles against La Salle (Apr. 3) at No. 1 doubles and against Little Three rival Niagara (Apr. 5) also at the top doubles position...Started off the Atlantic 10 Championship with a victory over Fordham (Apr. 15) in singles at the No. 4 spot, and also won in the first round of doubles against Fordham at No. 1 doubles with Chris Post...Fanshel's season ended in the second round to Duquesne (Apr. 15) with loss out of the No. 4 singles spot, and a loss in the top spot of doubles with partner Chris Post...On the season, Fanshel was 9-9 in singles action and 7-11 in doubles matches.
