AKRON, Ohio - The men's swimming and diving team remains in third place after the second day of the Akron Invite. The Bonnies established five season-best times, while earning 512 points on Saturday for a total of 938. Clarion University and Xavier remain in first and second with 997 and 954 points, respectively.

Sophomore Mariusz Michalik won gold in the 400-yard IM, posting a time of 4:08.60, the team's best in the event this season.

In the 100-yard butterfly, the Brown and White captured the top two finishes with two more season-best times. Junior Pat Henahan claimed first place with a time of 51.06. Barely finishing behind him was senior Roman Margulis, who touched in with a time of 51.10.

Senior Scott Jordan earned silver in the 100-yard breaststroke, posting a top time of 57.85.

The Bonnies team of Margulis, Jordan, Henahan and freshman Jared Robinson touched in with a second place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay (6:58.47).

In one-meter diving, senior CJ Maurer finished with a score of 220.50 to garner a third place finish.

St. Bonaventure finished with its best time of the season in the 200-yard medley relay (1:35.98) to place fifth in the event.

The Bonnies will conclude their visit to Akron with six events on Sunday. Preliminaries will begin at 9 a.m.
