Bonnies drop road meet against Vikings

CLEVELAND, OHIO - The men's swimming and diving team lost its first road meet of the season 160-82 at Cleveland State on Friday. On the bright side, three Bonnies established season-best times in four events.
Senior Roman Margulis swam the team's best times in both the 200-yard IM (1:56.20) and the 200-yard butterfly (1:55.58), both good enough for second place finishes.
Sophomore Mariusz Michalik set a season-best time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:08.06) to finish in second place.
In the 500-yard freestyle, freshman Jared Robinson posted the team's best time of the season (4:49.52) to earn bronze.
On the boards, senior CJ Maurer earned silver in both one-meter and three-meter diving with scores of 236.77 and 264.37, respectively. Senior James Wood earned silver in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:59.13.
In the 400-yard medley relay, the Bonnies team of Margulis, classmate Scott Jordan, junior Pat Henahan and freshman Chris Baker posted a time of 3:33.66 to finish in second place.
Jordan, Wood, Robinson and junior Chris Happel teamed up to finish second in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:20.72.
Robinson earned a bronze finish in the 200-yard freestyle, posting a time of 1:46.06.
Henahan placed third in both the 50-yard freestyle (22.13) and the 100-yard freestyle (48.66).
In the 200-yard IM, Michalik finished right behind Margulis for third place with a time of 1:58.94.
St. Bonaventure returns home to host Michigan State on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 5:00 p.m.
