ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving team has announced the additions of Jamoni Wise, William Lowe, Chauncey Nicholas and Alec Thomas to the 2018-19 recruiting class.
Joining the Bonnies as a diver from Riverside, Ill. is Jamoni Wise, where he competed for Riverside Brookfield High School a season ago. His best scores on the 1-meter diving board for six dives is 247 and for 11 dives it is 400. Wise intends on majoring in sports studies at St. Bonaventure.
A native of Hopewell Junction, N.Y. is Chauncey Nicholas. He swam for John Jay High School and was named a Hudson Valley All-Star. He was a two-time state A finalist and was the team's most valuable performer. Nicholas plans to major in business at St. Bonaventure.
Alec Thomas, a native of Erie, Pa., joins the Bonnies to swim in the freestyle and backstroke events. Thomas swam for Cathedral Preparatory School is a school record holder. He is a nine-time District 10 Champion and won the 200-freestyle state championship. Thomas also competed in water polo and tennis in high school. Thomas will major in broadcast journalism at St. Bonaventure.
Joining St. Bonaventure from Adams, N.Y. is William Lowe. He swam for South Jefferson High School in the freestyle events. Lowe was a Frontier League All-Star in swimming and baseball. He won the Section III Champion in the 50-freestyle and 100-freestyle while qualifying for the New York State Championship meet. Lowe is an undecided major at St. Bonaventure.
