St. Bonaventure Men's Swim and Dive Named To CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving team has again been named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams, continuing a run of success in the classroom.

The awards are in recognition of teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2016 Fall Semester. This marks the sixth straight year that the Bonnies have been honored in at least one semester.

St. Bonaventure turned in a team GPA of 3.305 during the fall and 10 members of the team earned sports on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll with GPAs of 3.50 or better.

SBU has been a model program under longtime head coach Sean McNamee. The six-time Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year has led the Bonnies to five A-10 championships while finishing third or better at the conference meet in 21 of his 23 seasons.

The Bonnies will hit the pool for Atlantic 10 Championships Wednesday through Saturday at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
