Swimming Teams Ranked By CollegeSwimming.com
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The men's and women's swimming teams were in the discussion for February's CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Division 1 Rankings.
The men's team came in at 23rd with 215.86 points while the women earned consideration. The men were ranked 18th in November.
Atlantic-10 rival and 5-time defending champion Massachusetts is the highest ranked A-10 team at 17th with 225.28 points. Xavier, Fordham and George Washington also received consideration.
The men are coming off a 150-92 defeat against Buffalo who finished 10th in this month's rankings. Niagara also earned consideration.
On the women's side, the UMass is ranked 10th with 244.44 points. A-10 foes Fordham, George Washington and Xavier received consideration. Canisius also received votes, who beat the women 141-101 in December.
The women are coming off a loss to Buffalo 149-92 last weekend.
The Atlantic-10 Championships will begin Feb. 22 and will be hosted by St. Bonaventure at Erie Community College's Flickinger Athletic Center.
