As A Freshman (2010-11)
In A-10 Championships he finished in 12th-place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 57.87 ... took second for the Bonnies in 200-yard IM (2:01.79) in their victory over Canisius ... earned first for the Bonnies in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.88 in their domination over the Niagara Purple Eagles. 

High School
Burud has had quite a high school career of his own, finishing with a time of 46.64 in the 100 free, 58.31 in the 100 breast and 51.57 in the 100 fly ... as a freshman, he swam in the Empire State Games, winning gold medals in the 100-yard free and 400-yard medley relays ... in all, after swimming at the Games all four years in high school he has earned seven gold and four silver medals ... burud also earned a spot in the Speedo Championship Sectional Meet in each of his four years.
