2011 Men's Soccer Schedule
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Seven home contests, including four straight in Atlantic 10 competition, highlight the 2011 St. Bonaventure men's soccer schedule announced Tuesday.
The Bonnies, who went 10-8-1 (5-3-1 Atlantic 10) last season, open up with a trio of regional opponents to start the year, beginning with an exhibition opposite NCAA Division III University of Rochester. Buffalo visits McGraw-Jennings Field for the Bonnies' home opener Aug. 26 before SBU heads to Little 3 rival Niagara Aug. 28 for its first road contest of the year.
September features six games away from McGraw-Jennings Field, with four of those games played in back-to-back weekends at James Madison (Sept. 2-4) and High Point (Sept. 9-11). Matchups with Canisius (Sept. 16) and Cornell (Sept. 26) bookend away games at St. Francis (Pa.) and Cleveland State Sept. 18 and 21, respectively.
After playing its first three Atlantic 10 Conference games on the road at Duquesne (Oct. 7), Charlotte (Oct. 14) and Saint Louis (Oct. 16), St. Bonaventure returns home for four straight league games in Rhode Island (Oct. 21), UMass (Oct. 23), Saint Joseph's (Oct. 28) and Temple (Oct. 30).
The Bonnies close out the regular season on the road with a weekend trip to George Washington (Nov. 4) and Richmond (Nov. 6).
