|Title:||Assistant Golf Coach|
|Previous College:||St. Bonaventure '16|
Stauffer graduated in 2016 after finishing one of the best careers in Bonnies golf history. The program's all-time leader for career birdies, he ranks second all-time in SBU career scoring average at 74.83.
He became an assistant coach with the Bonnies in fall 2016 and helped St. Bonaventure to its best season in recent memory during the 2017-18 campaign as the team captured three tournament victories - the most for Bona since 2007. During the season, the Bonnies captured a six-stroke victory in a field of 17 teams at the Towson Spring Invitational as well as repeated as champions in another 17-team field for the Binghamton Intercollegiate. St. Bonaventure won its second consecutive Little Three Championship and also won the first-ever Murray Cup in head-to-head action with Siena. The Bonnies also took their best-ever finish in the Atlantic 10 Match Play Championship by tying for third after knocking off top-seeded Dayton in the first round and then tying Florida Atlantic. A fourth-place finish at the Cornell Invitational and eighth-place showing at the prestigious Kingsmill Intercollegiate also highlighted a tremendous season. Freshman Danny Gianniny tied the program record by being named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week four times while junior Brent Morgan also captured an A-10 Golfer of the Week nod.
