ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure men's basketball freshmen Hillary Haley and Matt Morgan have announced they will transfer to other institutions for the upcoming school year.

"It's unfortunate that Hillary and Matt won't be a part of the resurgence of this program," said head coach Mark Schmidt. "We wish them the best not only in their college careers, but with all their future endeavors."

Haley averaged 5.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game over 29 games, including 14 starts. The Waldorf, Md. native did most of his damage during non-conference play as 13 of his starts and all four of his double figure scoring games came before A-10 play. Haley scored in double-digits in three consecutive road games at the end of December, highlighted by a season-high 16 at Wright State. Haley shot 39 percent (56-145) from the field and 71 percent (34-48) from the free throw line.

A back-to-back Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week choice to begin the month of February, Morgan played a majority of his minutes in conference play. The 6-foot-8 forward finished fifth on the team in both scoring (5.4) and rebounding (3.3) in just 13.9 minutes per game in league play. Morgan scored in double figures five times against A-10 foes. All five of those games came during an eight-game streak during conference play in which Morgan averaged 10.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 66 percent (31-47) from the field. In all, Morgan played in 28 of 30 games and averaged 3.4 points per game.
