Adams, Mobley Form One Of Nation’s Best Backcourts
The duo of Jaylen Adams and Matt Mobley is undoubtedly one of the nation’s best backcourts. Despite the intense defensive attention they receive, they are the second-highest scoring tandem in the Atlantic 10 as well as among the A-10 leaders in three-point shooting, assists and steals.
Adams Named A-10 Co-Player of the Year; Mobley First Team
St. Bonaventure senior point guard Jaylen Adams was named the A-10's Co-Player of the Year along with along Davidson senior forward Peyton Aldridge, the conference announced. It marks only the third time in conference history that two players have shared the award.

As the Player of the Year, Adams also is a member of the All-Conference first team. In addition, fellow senior guard Matt Mobley joined Adams on the first team All-Conference.

Adams is the first St. Bonaventure player ever to earn first team All-Conference honors three times. He is the third Bonnies player to be named the A-10 Player of the Year, joining Andrew Nicholson (2012) and Earl Belcher (1981). In another program first, St. Bonaventure has never had two players make the first team All-Conference in the same season.

Adams is the fourth-leading scorer in the Atlantic 10 Conference at 20.5 points per game. The Baltimore, Md., native also leads the A-10 in three-point field goal percentage at .477, is third in the A-10 in assists (5.3 per game), fifth in steals (1.6) and fifth in free throw percentage (.854). Adams' season included two games of 40-plus points with 40 at Duquesne and a career high 44 against Saint Louis, setting a school record with 10 three-pointers.

For the second year, Mobley teamed with Adams to give the Bonnies one of the top backcourts in the country. Mobley is the sixth-leading scorer in the Atlantic 10 at 18.2 points per game. He has 14 games with 20 points or more including three 30-point games. The 6-3 shooting guard scored a career-high 35 points at George Mason Jan. 31. Mobley is second in the A-10 in three-point field goals (88 total, 2.9 per game), 15th in three-point percentage (.371) and fourth in free throw percentage (.861). Mobley also averages 5.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

Adams Is Highest Scoring Guard In School History; Stands 6th All-Time
With his 24 points against Richmond Feb. 10, Jaylen Adams became the highest scoring guard in St. Bonaventure history. He moved past guards J.R. Bremer (1,732) and Marques Green (1,734).  Adams now has 1,868 career points, which ranks sixth all-time at Bona’s. All of the top five leading scorers in school history are forwards or centers: Greg Sanders, Andrew Nicholson, Earl Belcher, Bob Lanier and Tom Stith.
Mobley’s Scoring Prowess
Slowing down senior shooting guard Matt Mobley is a high priority for opposing defenders. Even with the added defensive attention, Mobley has continued to perform at a high level. He ranks sixth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 18.2 points per game, with 14 games of 20-plus points. He has 29 games of 20 points or more in 61 career games at St. Bonaventure. He also has reached the 30-point mark six times in his career, with three of those coming this season. Mobley is 13 three-pointers short of the school single-season record (101). Last season, which was his first at St. Bonaventure after transferring from Central Connecticut State, Mobley went from a virtual unknown to a star, All-Conference player. Mobley’s 18.5 ppg average ranked fourth-best in the A-10. Now with 1,139 points over 62 games at St. Bonaventure, Mobley is just the second player in program history who has played only two seasons with the Bonnies and reached the 1,000-point plateau. Marcus Posley was the first in 2014-16. Mobley is also the 15th player in program history -- and third season in a row a player has done it (Posley and Jaylen Adams) -- to score 1,000 points (or more) over two seasons.
Mobley, Adams Closing In On 2,000
Both Jaylen Adams and Matt Mobley have a chance to reach 2,000 points. Mobley needs 124 points to reach that milestone, while Adams needs 132. Mobley scored 737 points over two years at Central Connecticut State.
Five A-10 POW Awards
Jaylen Adams and Matt Mobley have combined to earn five Atlantic 10 Player of the Week awards this season, with Adams earning four of them, tops among all A-10 players.
