For the third time in the last four weeks, St. Bonaventure senior point guard Jaylen Adams has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference basketball Player of the Week.
Adams earned the most recent award after he scored a season-high 32 points in the Bonnies' Dec. 30 win over UMass at the Reilly Center. The Baltimore, Md., native was 10-16 from the field including 4-6 from three-point range. He added seven assists with no turnovers as St. Bonaventure prevailed 98-78 for its eighth consecutive victory.
Adams has now played in seven games since returning from an ankle injury that forced him to miss the first six games of the year. He is averaging 20.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. Adams is 19-35 (.543) from three-point range.
St. Bonaventure is 11-2 heading into a matchup Wednesday night at Dayton. That game will be televised on CBS Sports Network starting at 8:30.
