Guard-Oriented Bonnies Fueled By Chip On The Shoulder

The word out of Olean these days is that St. Bonaventure coach Mark Schmidt is confident in his guards heading into this season.

Of course, the Bonnies graduated one of the school's all-time greats in Andrew Nicholson, who is now averaging 10.6 points and five boards per game in seven preseason tilts for the Orlando Magic.

So it might be easy to dismiss Schmidt's statement as a convenient spin to soften the blow of losing No. 44.
