Public Sale for SBU-NC State Tickets Begins Thursday

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Tickets for the St. Bonaventure-NC State game at Rochester's Blue Cross Arena go on sale to the general public starting Thursday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m.

The Bonnies have played six games - four decided by fewer than five points or overtime - in Rochester since 2000. Including appearances in the Flower City against Virginia Tech (2010) and St. John's (2009), St. Bonaventure has matched up with West Virginia (2005), Syracuse (2003), Saint Louis (2002) and Charlotte (2000) in recent Rochester history.

The Bonnies return senior All-America candidate and Wooden Award nominee Andrew Nicholson, who ranks as the nation's No. 3 returning scorer (20.8 points per game). SBU brings back all but one starter from last year's squad that earned a berth into the College Basketball Invitational and finished with a winning record (16-15) for the first time since 2001-02.

NC State, now under the leadership of first-year head coach Mark Gottfried, posted a 15-16 record in 2010-11 and returns ACC All-Freshman selection C.J. Leslie.

The Wolfpack and Bonnies have met just once on the hardwood - during St. Bonaventure's NCAA Final Four run in 1970. St. Bonaventure earned an 80-68 victory over the Wolfpack in the second round of that year's NCAA Championship, led by 24 points and 19 rebounds from Bona legend Bob Lanier.
