HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison controlled throughout in Friday's series opener with the St. Bonaventure baseball team, scoring a 14-3 victory on a cold afternoon at Eagle Field.
The Dukes (9-5), fresh off a 21-2 win over Tennessee on Wednesday, scored a run in the first and four in the second. The hosts tallied two more in the third and posted offense in each of the first six innings to seize complete control.
Bona (2-7) got on the board in the fourth inning with when David Vaccaro reached on an error, then moved to second on a fly out before stealing third. Vaccaro came home on an RBI groundout by Tyler Kelder.
Fuller and Kelder each had a hit apiece as the Bonnies finished with five on the day.
The Bonnies and Dukes will square off again on Saturday afternoon with first pitch slated for 2 p.m.
